The method 'Scoring in software'

The method ‘Score with software’ is developed by ErgoS to be used by people without training in human-machine interaction or cognitive psychology. The method enables people to assess and improve software in office environments quickly and effectively.

15 most common bottlenecks

Focus of attention is recognising and solving the 15 most common bottlenecks in administrative software.

The method is concrete and therefore manageable for both ICT people and interested end users without knowledge of software directives such as ISO-9241.

The suggested solutions do not merely involve (investment in) redesign. Solutions can also focus on:

  • Software configuration.
  • Hardware.
  • Work organisation.

Usable software = work faster and more quality

Software influences the user and the quality of his services.

A large call centre of a health insurance company is able to work faster on a short term because of some minor adjustments in the software:

  • Information is more legible.
  • Less distracting information on display causes real information to be found faster.
  • Windows are positioned smarter.
  • Less need for scrolling.

In the long run, supplementary adjustments will take place in the database structure to present the information in a way that is in line with the activities of the call centre employees.
